BSI Announces Appointment of Dedicated Operations Manager for Conference and Meetings

Following last year’s acquisition of Olive 360°, and the growing demand for the BSI Venue Finding operation, Jan Cearns has been appointed to a new role as dedicated Operations Manager - Conferences and Meetings. In her new position, Jan will be managing the BSI Venue Finding and Events team, based in Cheadle as well as working closely with the BSI group’s Olive360° event management team in London to create a seamless customer experience, driven by effective communication and team work between the two centres of excellence.
Jan will also be responsible for the implementation, with supplier relations, of a new small meetings distribution model that will deliver live booking functionality to customers through BSI’s centres of excellence.
Talking about his latest appointment within the BSI team, BSI Group Managing Director Trevor Elswood comments: “As demand for our conference and meetings offer has grown substantially in the last eighteen months, we realised the need to appoint a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager, and identified Jan as the person for the job.

With considerable operations and account management experience, Jan has worked at BSI since 2005 as manager – special projects. In her previous role, she was responsible for developing BSI’s specialist service and product offerings, and has previously worked with a number of the biggest names in the industry.
