    BSI Delivers Next Generation Internal Meeting Space Management

    BSI today announces the launch of its next generation in online internal meeting space management capabilities within BSIDirect™.  The latest enhancements have been designed to enrich the user experience, whilst retaining customers’ key policy controls, which make the tool effective in helping reduce costs for those responsible for managing meeting spend.
       
    Following extensive customer consultation and user testing, BSI customers now benefit from developments that include the ability to simultaneously view availability of two internal meeting rooms with video conference capability and then book them.   BSI customers have welcomed the advancement as the ideal solution for video, teleconference and conference call requirements at a time when M&E cost avoidance and savings continue to climb the procurement agenda.
     

    Another convenience for meetings planners is the option to add their room booking to personal Microsoft Outlook® and Lotus Notes® calendars, allowing them to send out meeting invitations in the normal manner.  The diary note also contains a hyperlink to the related room booking with a reminder to cancel unwanted meeting space. This is a simple but powerful tool that prevents internal space from going to waste.
     

    BSIDirect™ provides customers with a complete end-to-end solution to online meetings and conference management.  The tool’s internal meeting space management capabilities were first piloted by Tesco in 2009.  They encompass systems driven policy and authorisation rules to drive occupancy of internal meeting rooms prior to sourcing external venues, together with the facility to plan, search and book external venues in real-time.
