BSI is the New Choice for Public Sector Hotel and Conference Bookings
23 August 2010
Buying Solutions has awarded BSI with a prestigious framework agreement for Travel Management Service Providers. Award winning BSI, the UK's leading accommodation & conference specialist, is amongst a small number of suppliers to be awarded a place on Lot 3 – Hotels (and Service Accommodation) of the framework agreement following the rigorous selection process.
The framework means that UK public sector organisations can appoint service providers without having to repeat burdensome and costly procurement tender exercises, with the assurance that BSI meets the highest standards and delivers excellent value.
Steve Savage, Head of Business Development Public Sector at BSI said: “This is yet another demonstration of BSI’s position as the leading accommodation & conference specialist in the UK. We are delighted to have been successful in a process which recognises consistency and quality across BSI’s accommodation and conference solutions. The framework agreement is a clear indication that our combination of people talent and innovative technology delivers cost control & compliance at a time when public sector spending is under such public scrutiny.”
BSI has also been appointed to provide conference booking services under Lot 4 of the framework and BSI’s Managing Director, Trevor Elswood, commented that the business is now well placed to deliver savings associated with ‘convergence’ across the two spend categories; “Despite being a cost effective service provider for hotel bookings, BSI’s track record of consistently delivering baseline savings of between 20-40% on new accommodation and conference client implementations far outweighs any savings achieved from lower agency fee costs.”
Elswood added, “Our competitive fee structure is simply the result of our innovative, market-leading technology driving process efficiencies which allow our people to focus on delivering a quality service and finding the right hotel or venue at the best possible price.”
